I have been playing piano for most of my life. I have 25 years of experience as a professional pianist and piano teacher to children and adults in schools and my private studio. I have a Bachelor of Music cum Laude in Piano Performance with an emphasis in Piano Pedagogy.
I welcome people of all ages and levels of musical experience. I am an especially good teacher for beginners and people who have had previous negative experiences with music lessons. I offer the opportunity to learn the best of classical piano technique for amazing “chops” and mind-body techniques for ease and relaxation, while also inspiring artistry and expressiveness and encouraging students to find their unique musical voice.
The skills I teach provide a solid foundation of musicianship for exploring all styles of music.
